Trinity Repertory Company

Before an actor begins telling stories in front of audiences, they must learn to be comfortable on stage. This involves accessing a variety of tools that most of us don’t use in our daily lives. This class introduces students to several techniques for creating intention, connecting with another actor, finding comfort and ease on stage, building a character and following impulses. The progression begins with voice and movement exercises to build a foundational vocabulary followed by improvisation, clowning, physical acting, and scene study. The class culminates in monologue work that focuses on each student’s individual needs and strengths. Students of all abilities are encouraged to attend.  

Class size is limited to 12 students.

Financial aid is need-based only and applicants must fill out the attached form and complete an essay to be considered. Payment plans are also available.
