Beginning Acting
with Jenna Lea Scott

Before an actor can begin telling stories in front of audiences, they must learn to be comfortable on stage. This class will introduce students to several techniques for connecting with another actor, finding comfort and ease on stage, and building a character. The progression will begin with voice and movement exercises to build a foundational vocabulary, followed by improvisation, clowning, physical acting, and scene study. The class will culminate in monologue and scene work that focuses on each student’s individual needs and strengths. Students of all abilities are encouraged to attend. Class size is limited to 12 students.
