Playcation puts together a family-friendly play in one week! This year, students will rehearse, stage, and perform an original show, The Big Blue Bug’s Clues by Jordan Butterfield. This mystery-comedy love letter to Rhode Island offers opportunities for every actor to have a role and follow a play from first rehearsal to final performance. 

Everyone who registers for Playcation will be cast in the play. Elder students receive priority casting. The performance will be held on the afternoon of Friday, Feb. 19 at Barker Playhouse.

Playcation Jr. teaches our youngest student show to tell stories using their voice, body, and imagination. Throughout the week, students work in groups to create their own original short plays. Together they will develop characters, create props, and work together as a team to invent an all-new story! Students will perform their plays on the last day of camp for family and friends at the historic Barker Playhouse.  

This year's Playcation camps will be held at Barker Playhouse at 400 Benefit St, Providence, RI 02903.

During classes, students should wear comfortable, movement-ready clothes and secure, closed-toe shoes
